But Rodgers may have to do without the services of Scott Sinclair, who played against Anderlecht despite struggling in the lead-up to the match.

Dedryck Boyata has been laid low with flu but should return at the heart of defence while Moussa Dembele could miss out with an ankle injury.

Rodgers could look to rotate his squad after the midweek exertions, so Odsonne Edouard could start after netting a hat-trick in his last league match while Callum McGregor and Eboue Kouassi could hope for some sort of involvement.

But Anthony Ralston (knee) and Patrick Roberts (hamstring) are definitely out.

Neil Lennon has been boosted by the return to fitness of Steven Whittaker and David Gray while the Hibs boss has John McGinn available again after the influential midfielder was forced to miss the trip to Partick through suspension.

Darren McGregor came through 90 minutes at Firhill unscathed and is likely to retain his place in a three-man defence alongside Paul Hanlon and Efe Ambrose.

McGinn will return to partner Dylan McGeouch in the centre of midfield while Martin Boyle, who recently signed a contract extension keeping him at Easter Road until 2021 could partner Anthony Stokes up front.

Liam Fontaine is nearing a return to full fitness but Danny Swanson is still some way off.
