Neil Lennon’s Championship leaders will be well aware of the threat the striker poses after his goal helped the Dumfriesshire club claim a shock 3-1 Betfred Cup victory in Leith back in August.

Lennon should be able to call on goalkeeper Ofir Marciano, who declared himself fit earlier this week despite being sent for an MRI scan on a knee injury he suffered while on international duty with Israel last weekend.

John McGinn will start despite the ongoing risk of aggravating an ankle injury which Lennon has admitted will eventually sideline the Scotland internationalist for around eight weeks when a decision is taken on when the player undergoes surgery.

Midfielder Danny Handling will not be available but has returned to light training as he recovers from a long-term knee injury. Forward James Keatings will be unavailable for another couple of weeks after he partially tore his medial ligament last month.

Jason Cummings will be hoping for an opportunity to reclaim his place in the starting XI, but Lennon is expected to stick with the partnership of Martin Boyle and Grant Holt up front.

Queens interim manager Jim Thomson, who has been in charge since Gavin Skelton stepped down a fortnight ago, will be without Callum Tapping, Dale Hilson and former Hibs player Dan Carmichael tomorrow through injury.
