Caldwell stakes a claim for starting spot
Ross Caldwell is demanding a regular starting spot at Brechin City after scoring a hat-trick on Saturday in a 3-1 win over Peterhead.
The 23-year-old, who arrived at Glebe Park in the summer, started from the bench in Brechin’s previous four games.

Hide AdBut the striker, who also came off the bench for Hibs in the 2013 Scottish Cup final, proved his worth to manager Darren Dods with a sensational trio of goals at Balmoor Stadium.
Brechin now sit second in the League One table, two points off leaders Livingston.
Francomb helps Dons fight back for a draw
His stay at Easter Road may have been brief but George Francomb is almost part of the furniture at AFC Wimbledon in comparison.
The midfielder, who was signed on loan by Pat Fenlon in 2012, has made more than 100 appearences for the South London club since arriving in 2013.

Francomb is now stranger to big cup games, having come off the bench in the 2012 Scottish Cup final defeat to Hearts.
