Hibs fans were pleased to see their side safely through to the next round of the Betfred Cup but the manner of their scrappy 1-0 win against Dundee caused concern for many supporters.

Kevin Mills said: “Not great but a win’s a win and on to the next round. Goal was the only bright moment in the first half. Touch of class from Nisbet and Murphy.”

Dav Williamson added: “Ross-ball on full show today! What a performance.”

Brian Ridder tweeted: “Woohoo! Way to go lads! On to the quarter-finals!"

Jamie Brodie wrote: “Through to the next round, that’s all that matters. Well done.”

Paul Stevenson stated: “Win’s a win but that was poor.”

Robbie Howie summarised: “Wasn’t a great performance, but a really good goal, and I can’t really remember Marciano having much to do.”

John Sutherland opined: “Not exactly convincing against lower division opponents, but the most important thing is that we're into the next round which is all that matters here.”

Freddie White said: “Absolutely forgettable game of football. Hibs played slightly better the second half but both teams offered pretty much nothing. But we’re through that’s what matters as they say!”

Peter Henderson wrote: “When Mallan went off we were so much better.”

Andy Jeffrey added: “Much better second half but a failure to build on Murphy’s goal. We’ll play better. We need to.”
