Boost for Hibs as Josh Doig trains ahead of St Johnstone trip
Hibs have been handed a potential boost ahead of Saturday’s trip to St Johnstone after wingback Josh Doig was involved in training on Friday.

The 18-year-old, who recently signed a new long-term deal with the Easter Road side, was sidelined for last weekend’s 2-0 defeat by Motherwell after sustaining a knock.
Head coach Jack Ross was hopeful the teenager would be fit to face the Saints and provided the youngster doesn’t suffer any bad reactions to training, he should be available for selection at the weekend.

The midfielder hasn’t featured since a 23-minute substitute appearance in the 2-0 win against Aberdeen in early February but the former St Mirren man took part in training ahead of the trip to Perth after missing the victory against Hamilton and the Motherwell defeat.
Meanwhile, young striker Josh O’Connor – son of former Hibs striker Garry – continues to train with the first-team squad.
