City of Edinburgh Council praise Hibs fans atmosphere during Scottish Cup final
Jack Ross’ men went down 1-0 to St Johnstone at Hampden Park.
With no fans in the ground to witness the game, Leith and Edinburgh’s pubs were packed with supporters eager to watch the game with each other.

Hide AdCouncillor McVey, who is SNP councillor for Leith, was speaking to his leader's report today, noting the atmosphere created by fans, bars and restaurants.
The City of Edinburgh Council tweeted to its more than 125,000 followers: “Praise for @HibernianFC fans and for bars and restaurants in Leith for ensuring there was a great atmosphere during and after last Saturday's Scottish Cup Final”.
A small number of Hibs fans had hoped to be in attendance for the final but due to Covid rates in Glasgow the plans for supporters at the match were cancelled.
