The 25-year-old’s start to his Hibs career has been hampered by thigh strain, but Ross has been impressed by the Englishman's performance in a green-and-while shirt and praised his versatility.
"He's been very, very good since he came to the club,” Ross said on Wright.

"He's versatile, which is key. He's already played wing-back, as an out-and-out wide player, he's played as a second striker against Aberdeen and he played as a midfielder against Rangers.
"What Drey has is a really good understanding of the game. I spoke to Tommy Wright at length about him in the summer and he said that he's a clever player who understands the role.
"His performance level was good, and he's the type of player who will go under the radar at times, so the fact he scored pleases me and he gets that recognition.”
