Dundee United 0-2 Hibs: Nisbet and Doidge fire Hibs to Scottish Cup final
Hibs had fallen at the last-four hurdle twice in the last six months but there was to be no repeat against Micky Mellon’s side.
Nisbet netted the opener just before the half-hour mark, placing a shot from the edge of the box beyond Deniz Mehmet, before Christian Doidge, although offside, struck a second.
United had their chances but found Matt Macey unbeatable.

Dundee United v Hibs: Live updates
Hibs work the ball to the backpost where Doidge is waiting, he gets a touch but the referee blows for... a foul? Unsure what’s happened there, but United have the free kick
CHANCE!
SO CLOSE! Boyle does well to worm his way into the box, Nisbet picks it up and shoots but it trickles just wide of Mehmet’s right-hand post. Inches!
GOAL FOR HIBS!
Kevin Nisbet shot just wide moments ago, he makes no mistake this time! Great work by Irvine and the Scotland striker just places it beyond Mehmet. Dundee United 0, Hibs 1!
Newell took a sore one in a 50/50 with Shankland and the midfielder has gone down again. Concerning for Hibs - the midfielder has been a huge player for the Easter Road side this season.
Hibs pushing for a second here - Hallberg does well before Doidge just fails to pick out Irvine in the box. United look a little shellshocked after conceding.
