The ex-Easter Road boss wished his former club the best on Twitter while poking fun at Hearts.

The two clubs meet in the Scottish Cup semi final for a place in December’s finale.

Stubbs, who led Hibs to Scottish Cup glory in 2016, tweeted: “Good luck @HibernianFC today back at @HampdenPark! Hope it goes well, let’s keep the “natural order” going with another win over the jumbos!!!.”

The natural order phrase refers to Craig Levein’s comments ahead of a derby at Easter Road which backfired on him with the Hibs fans unfurling a large flag after a 2-0 win.

Stubbs had it pointed out to him that Hearts had won more derbies this century, this decade and this year, as well as all-time.

Hibs go into the game as favourites with their Premiership status.
