The Swiss-born striker joined Rangers on loan from Hibs in January 2020 before the coronavirus pandemic curtailed the season and, out of favour at Easter Road on his return, he joined St Gallen in August.
However, the forward has made just eight appearances for the Kybunpark side, with manager Peter Zeidler hinting at a possible temporary exit last month as he confirmed the player had fallen down the pecking order.

Hide AdKamberi is the third striker to join Aberdeen on deadline day, following the loan arrivals of Callum Hendry from St Johnstone and Fraser Hornby from Stade Reims, and could be involved on Saturday when the Dons face Hibs.
Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes said: “He has experience in this league, and we’re hopeful that will help him settle quicker.
"I’m positive he can have an impact between now and the end of the season.”
