Former Hibs CEO lands key boardroom role at Bolton Wanderers

A former Hibs CEO has been appointed chief financial officer at Bolton Wanderers.

Scott Lindsay has joined the League Two club having held a number of senior positions within Scottish football over the past 20 years.

He was a Hibs director between 2002 and 2005 and then re-joined the club in 2007, taking over as chief executive and helping to oversee the redevelopment of Easter Road as well as a number of managerial changes.

He also founded the Hibernian Community Foundation before quitting the club in 2012. After leaving Hibs, he joined the Scottish FA as head - and then director - of finance and IT.

He was most recently executive director for financial and operations at The Law Society of Scotland.

Commenting on his appointment, Bolton chairman Sharon Brittan said: “He brings a wealth of experience acquired from senior roles within Scottish football as well as an astute understanding of how a football club plays a crucial role within the community it serves.”
