Hibs held Celtic to a 0-0 draw at Easter Road in the final league game of the season this afternoon.

Jack Ross made eight changes to his side in a bid to rest some of his key men ahead of next week and the alternative team put in a strong showing.

Substitute Jackson Irvine had the best chance of a goal, seeing a close-range effort deflected over the bar late on, while Ofir Marciano kept a clean sheet in his final game.

Key Events

  • Fringe players set for runout
  • Celtic haven’t won a league game at Easter Road since 2014

Turnbull slips in Griffiths but the substitute’s shot gets caught in McGregor’s anles and it’s an easy save for Marciano

Gogic has a go from the edge of the box but it’s charged down. Hibs defending well but needing a bit more in attack.

Doidge and Irvine on, Hallberg and Murphy off.

Can’t imagine Doidge and Irvine will be going at 100mph for the remaining 15 minutes but they could be key to Hibs possibly winning this game. Celtic have had their chances without really threatening all that much and all it would take is the right cross for Doidge to get his head on.

Gray and Wright off, McGinn and Doig on. McGregor takes the armband.

Doig playing on the left of midfield with Stevenson behind him.

Brown off-target with an effort from distance.

Taylor and Elyounoussi off, Montgomery and Dembele on

Porteous blocks a Turnbull shot. Corner Celtic.

Forrest makes a beeline for the goal but Marciano is out and bravely dives at the winger’s feet to smother the ball.
