Hibs and Rangers have reached an agreement for Florian Kamberi to join the Ibrox side on loan until the end of the season - and Ibrox midfielder Greg Docherty could move in the opposite direction to Easter Road.

The Evening News understands that Kamberi will now travel to Glasgow to undergo a medical and complete paperwork. Barring any issues, the 24-year-old will sign for Steven Gerrard's team and could be in the squad for their match at home to Aberdeen tomorrow.

As part of the deal, Hibs hope to land central midfielder Docherty, who is wanted by Sunderland, Charlton and Shrewsbury as well. However, it is believed that Easter Road is his most likely destination at present.

The 23-year-old former Hamilton Accies player has found first-team football scarce at Rangers and spent the second half of last season at the Shrews.

Hibs are also hoping to complete the signing of current Sunderland striker Marc McNulty before tonight's deadline closes, which would compensate for Kamberi's departure and bolster head coach Jack Ross' attacking options.
