Hibs announce second contract extension of the day as Callum Yeats signs on

Hibs have handed a new contract to another youngster with left-back Callum Yeats extending his deal until the summer of 2022.

The 19-year-old has been on loan at Stenhousemuir for the duration of the 2020/21 League Two season. He’s played 17 times for the Warriors and earned positive reviews for his play.

Hibs sporting director Graeme Mathie praised Yeats’ performances as he looked forward to the player’s progression ahead of next season.

He told the Hibs website: “We are delighted to announce Callum’s new contract.

“He has had an excellent season on loan at Stenhousemuir and this extension is a reward for his performances at this level.

“We are excited to see where his development goes from this point.

“One thing is for sure, ‘Scholesy’ will give himself every opportunity to progress given his work ethic and desire to improve.”

Yeats follows goalkeeper Kevin Dabrowski in having a new contract announced on Tuesday. The Polish stopper agreed a deal until 2023.
