The Hibees scored in either half at the Oriam to claim all three points in the early SWPL1 clash.

Eilidh Adams and Amy Muir scored in either half in what is the penultimate match of the league campaign for both sides.

The loss means Hearts Women remain bottom of the table.

Andy Kirk's side were stubborn opposition for Hibs favourites coming into the match.

However, they fell behind in the first 20 minutes with Adams hitting the back of the net having already gone close in the opening stages.

A long ball caught the home side out, allowing Muir to gain possession and slip a lovely pass to Adams who displayed plenty of confidence as well as composure to finish past Charlotte Parker-Smith.

It was the Hearts goalkeeper who was the busier, producing excellent stops to keep out Colette Cavanagh and Amy Gallacher twice, while Carla Boyce also spurned a fine opportunity for the visitors.

The Jam Tarts, who were being watched by the club’s sporting director Joe Savage, were’t bystanders. They were competitive but struggled to assert enough pressure to really trouble the Hibs defence on a regular basis.

Hibs wrapped up the three points in the 73rd minute when Cavanagh set up Muir, one of the standouts of the afternoon alongside the club's player of the year Leah Eddie.

Muir made no mistake with what could have been a tricky finish.
