Hibs duo ruled out of Betfred Cup decider against Dundee

The former St Mirren midfielder, who pulled his hamstring in training last week and had to sit out his team’s league meeting with Aberdeen, has been ruled out of this Sunday’s Betfred Cup tie against Dundee and is a doubt for the resumption of Premiership action the following weekend.

The 22-year-old has made three starts and three substitute appearances for the Easter Road side since joining Hibs on a five-year deal at the beginning of October.

He currently shares the physio room with the experienced full-back Lewis Stevenson, who is targeting the Celtic game at Easter Road on November 21 for his comeback. But, even that fixture could come too soon for the 32-year-old left-back, who has already spent three weeks on the sidelines after hobbling out of Kilmarnock’s Rugby Park last month with damaged ankle ligaments.
