Former Hibs midfielder Stephen Omeonga is set for his third transfer in less than a year.

The Belgian, who became a fans' favourite at Easter Road last season, has spent the first half of this campaign on loan in his homeland with Cercle Brugge.

Omeonga, however, only featured four times in all competitions, his last appearance for the Jupiler Pro League side coming back in October.

According to reports, he has had his loan deal cut short to return to parent-club Genoa. The Italians are set to send him out on loan once more, to Serie B side Cosenza.

The 23-year-old is fondly remembered at Hibs after his 17-game stint at the club in the second half of last season.

His all-action, wholehearted displays won him plenty of admirers as did his personality off the field.
