Easter Road’s gates remained locked this term but that didn’t stop more than 11,000 fans snapping up virtual season tickets last year to watch the team chase third place in the SPFL Premiership, qualify for Europe and reach the Scottish Cup final.

Now, just three weeks after being made available, the club has broken the threshold of 5000 sales for season 2021-22 – with fans desperate to return to the stands for their fix of live football. It’s yet to be confirmed when they will be allowed back after covid regulations banned large gatherings and events last spring.
