The Hibees travel to Rugby Park on Saturday for a Premiership clash with Alex Dyer’s men as they look to get back on the winning trail following a goalless draw away at Ross County last time out.

Easter Road manager Jack Ross had to battle through the Betfred Cup group-stage matches without up to 12 players due to injuries, self-isolation regulations and international duty and while he had more options against the Staggies, he was still without four first-team players as Hibs struggled to get the better of County.

Three of those, however, could be in line for a return against Killie.

Midfielder Drey Wright has missed the past two matches due to a groin complaint and while the issue is not serious, Hibs will need to decide whether to risk him on the artificial surface at Rugby Park, which could exacerbate the problem.

Winger Jamie Murphy limped off last Tuesday night against Forfar Athletic due to a hamstring complaint and while he was also absent in Dingwall, the Rangers loanee should be in contention for Saturday.

One player who will definitely return is left-back Josh Doig, who will have completed his 14-day self-isolation period after being in contact with Billy Stark, the Scotland Under-19 manager who tested positive for coronavirus. He will push for a return at the expense of Lewis Stevenson.

Midfield playmaker Scott Allan, however, is still missing due to illness.
