Hibs left to sweat over fitness of first-choice players ahead of Livingston match

The former Motherwell wingback is one of the players who picked up niggling injuries at the weekend and while Leith manager Jack Ross was keeping the identity of the other doubts close to his chest, he revealed that he may have to wait until later today to finalise his match day line-up.

The Easter Road club are keen to move another three points closer to wrapping up their first top-three finish in the top tier in 16 years and head into the match on the back of a positive performance against Rangers in Glasgow and two victorious Scottsh Cup ties, the most recent against Stranraer on Sunday.

But, he will sweat over the involvement of one or two of the men who helped deliver those displays.

“Chris Cadden should be involved, although he is one of the ones we have doubts over. He was due to start on Sunday but suffered a knock in training on Saturday morning.

“We have one or two other concerns from Sunday and we will assess them on the day of the game.

“Other than that, Jamie Murphy will still be absent. Sean Mackie is still absent but Steven Bardley is back in the squad.”

David Martindale’s West Lothian side defeated their capital hosts when they last travelled to Easter Road, in January. Hibs have taken four points from the two other head to heads this season.
