The Dons were due to host the Easter Road side on Saturday November 5 but will now travel up the night before to face Jim Goodwin’s side on Friday November 4 with a 7.30pm kick-off.

No reason has been given for the switch but the SPFL has confirmed that the change was made at the request of both clubs.

A statement from Aberdeen on Twitter read: "Our game with Hibernian FC at Pittodrie, originally scheduled for Saturday 5th November, will now take place on Friday 4th November. Kick-off 7:30pm."

The two teams met in a Friday night fixture in November 2020 with Scott Wright and Sam Cosgrove scoring in a 2-0 win for the Dons.

Meanwhile, Lee Johnson will not be in the dugout for Hibs’ home match with Kilmarnock on Saturday after undergoing emergency surgery during the week to remove his gall bladder.
