The Easter Road side was joined in the top six by Rangers, Celtic, Aberdeen, Livingston, and St Johnstone following the completion of the weekend’s games with Jack Ross’ side seven points clear of the Pittodrie side in the race to be crowned “best of the rest”.

The Capital club also enjoys a better goal difference than the currently managerless Dons which could be vital going into the remaining five games of the campaign.
