Hibs will run a test event next week as the club gears up for the broadcasting of matches once the 2020/21 Scottish Premiership gets under way.

Kilmarnock are the first visitors to Easter Road on August 1 and with fans still not permitted in stadiums, supporters will be turning to live streaming as a way of watching games.

In an email sent to season ticket-holders, the Capital club is urging fans to ensure their contact details are up to date ahead.

The email reads: “Final preparations are underway with the new season kick off in ten days’ time. We are aware you will be keen to understand how to access the matches and we are working on this for you.

"We are working through the final technical elements to ensure that you have all you need to be up and running ahead of the new season.

"We will be providing you with a guide of what to do in advance of the opening game and how to log on for the live match when it arrives.

"We are aiming to have this information with you by the end of the week.”

The club is also planning a dummy run to iron out any issues ahead of the start of the season.

The email continues: “We will be running a test event next week to give you the opportunity to log in and be comfortable with the set up.

"We will let you know the details of this as soon as we have them.

“In the meantime, can you please ensure that all of your contact information is up to date. It is really important we have updated details like emails, contact numbers and addresses so that we can contact you with any key information ahead of the kick off."

Hibs announced a package earlier this summer, granting season ticket-holders free access to Hibs TV, guaranteed access to live coverage of all Hibs home games, a free digital matchday programme, and a host of other benefits, until normal stadium capacity resumes.
