Hibs are understood to have rejected a proposal from Aberdeen to move the Scottish Premiership clash between the two teams at Pittodrie early next month to an evening kick-off.

Dons chief Dave Cormack is keen to explore later kick-off times, according to the Daily Record, because he feels the Pittodrie side lose a lot of fans to the amateur, junior and Highland League games.

The club held initial talks about switching the 7 March clash from 3pm to an evening start-time and while the Hibs hierarchy was said to be mulling over the proposal, they have rejected moving the game back by a few hours.

The Daily Record claims that the Easter Road side had expressed concerns about the amount of time their players would have to spend in the hotel pre-match, which would disrupt the team's preparations.

Cormack is expected to test the water with other Premiership clubs to see if they would be willing to move fixtures to an evening kick-off. The teams would have to agree while SPFL bosses and the police would also have to green-light the proposals.
