Hibs star Alex Gogic made his international debut for Cyprus on Wednesday evening.

The midfielder started the match for Johan Walem’s side in a home friendly against the Czech Republic.

The 26-year-old was one of three changes made at the break with the Czechs leading 2-1.

Gogic tweeted afterwards: “Grateful to have made my debut for @Cyprus.”

The game would finish 2-1 with Vladimir Darida’s penalty shortly before the half proving to be the winner. Loizos Loizou has previously cancelled out Tomas Holes’ early opener.
