The Lions are understood to be on the hunt for a defender with the 21-year-old a key target, while they have also been linked with Motherwell’s Allan Campbell.

Porteous is arguably Hibs’ most valuable asset in the playing squad and contracted until 2023 which would likely mean that Millwall would have to put forward a hefty offer to tempt the club to sell as they aim to bring European football back to Easter Road.

Meanwhile, Doig, according to the Record, is being tracked by Stoke City, who are managed by ex-Hibs player Michael O’Neill as well as League One Sunderland.

The duo become the latest Hibs players to be linked with an exit, following Stevie Mallan.
