Jack Ross and his men welcome Ross County to Easter Road in the Ladbrokes Premiership on Wednesday night.

What, on paper, looks like it could be a comfortable three points for the much-fancied hosts, they haven't in fact beaten the Staggies in their two meetings so far this season.

Hibs will believe they've strengthened as a result of the January transfer window with all four signings in line to start.

The big question ahead of the match will surround how Ross fits all the pieces together. The experiment with a back three, with only one natural centre-back, didn't go so well against BSC Glasgow at the weekend, so expect Ross to return to a back four.

However, that would raise the question of whether the Hibs boss goes with a 4-4-2 to partner Marc McNulty and Christian Doidge together, or whether he prefers one to the other up front.

It will also be interesting to see whether Greg Docherty did enough against BSC to demand a start.

Hibs team news: Adam Jackson will be assessed before the game. The defender picked up a knock against Rangers and missed the BSC Glasgow match as a result. Stevie Mallan remains on the sidelines along with long-term absentees Ryan Porteous and Paul Hanlon.

Probable Hibs team: Marciano; McGinn, McGregor, Hanlon, Stevenson; Hallberg, Docherty, Omeonga; Boyle, Doidge, McNulty.

Ross County team news: County are likely to be missing the services of Joe Chalmers, who has been absent from the squad since the January draw with Hearts. They were certainly be without Ross Stewart as the striker is still a couple of weeks away from recovering from a hamstring injury. Michael Gardyne and Tom Grivosti are long-term absentees.

Probable Ross County team: Baxter; Donaldson, Morris, Fontaine; Fraser, Paton, Draper, Vigurs, Kelly; Mckay, Erwin.

Key clash: County have improved their defence with the signing of Coll Donaldson from rivals Inverness, but this will be a tough assignment for the visiting back-line. Doidge may not have scored in his last two but he's been in rich form over the previous three months, while McNulty is an option having bagged a hat-trick against BSC Glasgow in his first start since returning to the club in January.

Last meeting: A double from Ross Stewart handed a defeat to Hibs after Doidge had opened the scoring for the visitors back in early December.

Referee: Steven McLean will take charge of a Hibs game for the third time this season and the second time for a match involving Ross County. The whistler was the man in the middle when the Staggies earned a draw against Paul Heckingbottom's side in October, while he also oversaw the 3-0 defeat to Motherwell back in August.

Odds: Hibs 1/2 Draw 15/4 Ross County 9/2
