The Easter Road side are currently fourth in the standings, but a victory over Saints would move them two points ahead of Aberdeen in third, who do not play until Wednesday evening when they travel to bottom club Hamilton Accies.

A draw against the Perth men would also see Hibs leapfrog Aberdeen on goal difference, but the Dons would have two games in hand.

The match was originally due to take place on Saturday, October 31 but was rescheduled due to the Scottish Cup semi-final against Hearts at Hampden, which Hibs lost 2-1 after extra-time.

Jack Ross’ men will be looking to build on the positives from the 2-2 draw with Celtic on Saturday.

Team news: Jack Ross is expected to welcome Christian Doidge back into the fold after the striker missed the weekend draw against Celtic with an ankle injury. However, the Hibs boss will be forced to wait a little longer on Lewis Stevenson and Kyle Magennis. Stevenson is in line for a return to training on Thursday with Kyle Magennis likely to return shortly afterwards. Scott Allan remains absent.

Possible line-up (4-1-4-1): Marciano; McGinn, Hanlon, Porteous, Mackie; Gogic; Boyle, Newell, Mallan, Murphy; Nisbet.

Match details: Kick-off 7.00pm, Easter Road, Edinburgh
