Hibs welcome St Mirren to Easter Road on Saturday (3pm kick-off), the day after a hectic 24 hours of incomings and outgoings.

The Ladbrokes Premiership fixture has had to take a back seat as Jack Ross reshapes the squad he inherited from Paul Heckingbottom.

Coming into the final day of the January transfer window, the ex-Sunderland boss had moved on three of the former manager's recruits, while Oli Shaw was sold to Ross County.

Adam Bogdan had been re-signed and Stephane Omeonga returned on loan to much fanfare.

With Paul McGinn signed from tomorrow's opponents early on today, he goes into the squad for the fixture. Greg Docherty and Marc McNulty may follow with Florian Kamberi possibly having played his last game for the club.

Three points are imperative if Hibs wants to start putting pressure on Aberdeen and Motherwell above them.

St Mirren, however, are tough opponents as Hibs have found so far this season. Jim Goodwin has an organised and combative team working to avoid relegation.

Hibs team news: There are no fresh injury worries for Jack Ross. New signing Paul McGinn will come into the squad and consideration. The game may come too soon for Greg Docherty and Marc McNulty who are still in talks over moves. Florian Kamberi is likely heading to Rangers.

Possible Hibs XI (4-2-3-1): Marciano; Gray, Jackson, Hanlon, Stevenson; Omeonga, Newell; Boyle, Allan, Horgan; Doidge.

St Mirren team news: Influential midfielder Kyle Magennis is out for the rest of the season following a knee injury. New signing Lee Hodson could be in with a chance of starting but Jim Goodwin may be reluctant to change the team which drew with Aberdeen last time out. The Buddies have also added former Scotland youth international Alex Jakubiak

Possible St Mirren XI (4-2-3-1): Hladky; Flynn, Famewo, McCarthy, Waters; MacPherson, Foley; Morias, Andreu, Durmus; Obika.

Key clash: In Sam Foley, the Buddies have one of the most combative and destructive midfielders in the division. St Mirren boss Jim Goodwin probably sees a bit of himself in the player. He is key to the team's structure and how difficult it can be to play against the relegation battlers. It means Scott Allan will have to be at his creative best, not just with the ball but without it to find space. Also keep an eye out for Martin Boyle up against Calum Waters.

Last meeting: Hibs claimed their second win of the season over St Mirren in November. After an opening day win at Easter Road, Christian Doidge and Stevie Mallan provided the goals in a 2-1 win in the November meeting.

Referee: David Munro (30 yellow cards and a red card in six Premiership fixtures) - The official will take charge of his second Hibs game of the season having overseen the side's 2-1 defeat at Ross County last month.

Match odds: Hibs 20/23 Draw 12/5 St Mirren 16/5
