How to watch Hibs vs Hearts Women: kick-off time, TV channel and live stream for sold out SWPL finale
The SWPL season will round off with an Edinburgh Derby
Hibernian Women will host Hearts Women in the final match of the SWPL 1 season - with everything still to play for.
Unbeaten in their last six, Eva Olid’s Jambos have made a late dart to the title and now sit two points ahead of second placed Rangers, who travel to Glasgow City on the final day. A win against the Hibees would see the Gorgie Girls lift the trophy and so would a draw, as even if Rangers won, Hearts boast the better head-to-head record.
Standing in their way will be Hibs, who presumably will need no extra incentive to stop their bitter rivals from securing the title on their own patch. Joelle Murray’s side have had a strong end to the campaign themselves, losing just one in their last 11. They also currently hold the Capital bragging rights, having defeated Hearts 2-1 at the Oriam in March.
Hibs still have third place to play for too, as they remain three points behind Glasgow City with a better head-to-head record. With so much anticipation, the derby is a sell out, however there are other methods for those without tickets to watch the action unfold. Hibs and Hearts on Derby day finale
Hibs forward Hannah Jordan claims that they’re just concentrating on themselves going into Sunday, despite all the title stipulations for their opponents. She told Hibs TV: "It's going to be massive. We know how much the game is going to mean to them, but we're just looking to focus on ourselves going into the game and have loads of energy. Hopefully we can get a positive result at the end."
Meanwhile, Hearts coach Olid insists Hearts will be going all guns blazing to get the win they require. She told Hearts TV: “Our full focus is there now (the Hibs finale). We’ll prepare well during our last week. We’ll do everything we can to get the three points next week to get us over the line.”
