Two wins from two but in my opinion it’s hard to gauge how impressive Saturday’s performance was given how poor Livingston were. However, you can only beat what’s in front of you, and the Hibees did that with aplomb. Great to see Kevin Nisbet get his first, second and third goals for the club and Christian Doidge get off the mark too. His natural talent mixed with his selflessness is going to be a huge bonus for us this season.

Having watched Dundee United at the weekend, I think we’ve got a great chance of making it three from three. We bowled them over at Easter Road earlier in the year and there was little on display at Fir Park to suggest they can defeat us. If we play at our best, then we should win. Prediction: Dundee United 0-2 Hibs

Solid at the back, strong in the midfield and free-flowing in attack… yes, that’s Hibs I’m talking about. The Toni Macaroni Arena was one of the most formidable stadiums for opposition to visit with just eight away goals scored throughout the whole of last season so to put four past Livingston in 90 minutes should not be underestimated.

Alex Gogic was a rock in the centre of the pitch allowing for the attacking players stretch the hosts. Daryl Horgan in particular showed great energy as well as his two-footedness, resulting in two great assists. A special mention to Kevin Nisbet who scored a fine hat-trick, ran the channels well and looks to be developing a good partnership with Christian Doidge.

I expect a more stern test at Tannadice from Dundee United but the key for Hibs now is consistency. We have to focus on ourselves, keep the line-up the same where possible and ensure we are starting the game with the same high tempo of the previous two which will give us every chance of coming away with a positive result.

The early signs are good but as ever with Hibs, let’s approach with caution and take everything a game at a time. Can anyone else hear the faint sound of the Champions League anthem reverberating around Leith? Prediction: Dundee United 0-1 Hibs

Freddie White, Hibs fan

Well, I didn’t expect the performance we saw from Hibs at the weekend there. Livingston, who had only conceded eight goals at home last season looked completely lost on Saturday.

It’s never been an easy place for Hibs to visit, so to go and score four goals was superb. Man for man there wasn’t a bad performance and hat-trick hero Kevin Nisbet showed exactly why we paid good money for him. But I think a special mention should go to Paul Hanlon who has been under a lot of scrutiny lately. He was solid and lead the line so well.

So onto Dundee United, they‘ve also had a good start, a win and a draw. If Hibs can play like they did on Saturday then I feel we can take all three points. United also like to attack as well so it should be an open game.

It really has the makings of a cracker. Prediction: Dundee United 1-3 Hibs

Hibs are coming off the back of a convincing win at Livingston and will hope to take their current form into the match against Dundee United. We are continuing to score goals which shouldn’t come

as a surprise with our attacking options and the pleasing aspect is that we are looking stronger at the back, with no goals conceded from open play.

There were a few stand outs for me on Saturday, Josh Doig at left back, Daryl Horgan and Alex Gogic in the

midfield and obviously Kevin Nisbet. The formation looked like it worked well on Saturday so I would go with the same again which means Scott Allan could find himself on the bench once again with Hallberg maybe getting his first start if Horgan doesn’t make it after picking up that knock at Livingston. Prediction: Dundee United 0-1 Hibs

Top of the league! Not often us Hibs fans get to say that phrase. I predicted a narrow win for the Hibees on Saturday but the outcome was emphatic. Livingston were so strong at home last year and Hibs made them look very ordinary. A lot is being said about Livingston holding out for £1 million-plus for Lyndon Dykes, which genuinely makes me wonder how much Christian Doidge is worth? His hold-up play and sheer determination is a thing of beauty now. Jack Ross said after the game he tries to find a formation to fit both Kevin Nisbet and Doidge to play next to each other, he certainly won’t want to alter to much if it means four goals away from home n a regular basis.

Dundee United recorded a fantastic win at the weekend and they look to have tightened up since we played them in the Scottish Cup earlier this year. In saying that, I think Hibs will have to much going forward and confidence should be high. Prediction: Dundee United 1-3 Hibs

Saturday’s performance and result was a pleasant surprise at a ground where we normally struggle. Christian Doidge has highlighted Alex Gogic as a key player in our strong start to the season and I totally agree. Hibs fans have long recognised that we were missing steel in that area, and the fact Gogic knows the league is a huge plus. His ballwinning abilities allow us to then move up the park quickly and I expect us to be a goal threat in most games we play this season.Against Dundee United, hopefully we are able to keep the team consistent and get the same starting 11 out. Horgan had a knock, but if he’s fit he deserves to keep his place. From what I’ve seen from United so far, there’s nothing to fear there, especially if Shankland is still sidelined. They look pretty similar to the side we played in January where we scored six in two games, and we appear to be a bit more structured at the back so far, so I’m going for a big 3-1 win away from home that keeps the Hibees top of the league! Prediction: Dundee United 1-3 Hibs
