Hibs chief executive Leeann Dempster has sent a message to supporters following a successful summer transfer window.

The Easter Road side brought in striker Kevin Nisbet and midfielders Alex Gogic, Drey Wright, and Stephen McGinn on permanent deals while signing goalkeeper Dillon Barnes and attacker Jamie Murphy on loan from QPR and Rangers respectively, with the latter due to join on a permanent basis at the end of the season.

A number of players exited the club with winger Daryl Horgan, striker Florian Kamberi, and defender Adam Jackson departing in the latter part of the window, joining those who had left at the end of their contracts or returned to parent clubs after loan spells.

Writing on social media Dempster said: “Twitter’s character limit doesn’t let me thank everyone who deserves my gratitude for helping us to this point.

"Players, staff and supporters have rallied – on the pitch and off it with season tickets, Hibernian Supporters donations and a host of other gestures. It’s humbling.

"We’ve come out the transfer window with a smaller squad but careful player trading – in and out – has helped us add real quality.

“As long as supporters are happy, I’m happy. Our priority now is to get our supporters back home to Easter Road.”

Dempster has been vocal in her appreciation of the club’s fanbase and following the arrivals of Nisbet and Wright in July told them: “It's your support – through season tickets, HSL payments and other gestures – that gives us the confidence we need to make these moves to further strengthen a squad we believe in.”
