Joe Newell: Hibs boss gives update on midfielder's chances of facing Livingston
Englishman suffered heel injury in win over Kilmarnock
Hibs boss Jack Ross is confident Joe Newell will be fit for Saturday’s crunch clash with Livingston after the midfielder limped off only two minutes into the second half in their win over Kilmarnock.
The midfielder has been filling in well at left-back and Ross said: “Joe got an impact injury on his heel very early in the first half and it steadily got worse as the game went on. We sent him back out, but right away it was evident he was struggling.
“Hopefully he will be okay. He’s been a big player for us in terms of assists, his versatility has been good as has his set-piece delivery. His all-round play has been good."
