'Completely unacceptable': Hibs respond to second bottle-throwing probe within a week

Beer bottle appeared to be thrown from away end at Tynecastle during derby

Hearts are looking through CCTV footage after a bottle appeared to be thrown from the away end during the Boxing Day Edinburgh derby.

If confirmed, it'll be the second such incident involving Hibs fans in the space of a week after a vodka bottle was thrown in the direction of Rangers defender Borna Barisic during last Friday's 3-0 defeat at Easter Road.

This latest occurrence happened during the 2-0 victory over rivals Hearts and saw a Budweiser bottle smash off the back of the LED advertising boards behind the goals at the Roseburn Stand.

The missile landed just beside the press photographers, though nobody was hit by the either the bottle or shattered debris.

A Hibs spokesperson told the Scottish Sun: “If the CCTV shows any bottle was thrown by a person from the Hibernian end we will provide any cooperation required.

“Everyone has to understand that throwing missiles is completely unacceptable.”
