Michael Weir: Weak league gives Hibs a real chance of success
Knowing how to win when you aren’t playing well and picking up wins to keep the momentum going is crucial.
Hibs are starting to adapt better to games and although Tuesday night was a cup game, I think Jack Ross is starting to learn the league a bit better as well.

Hibs have a real chance to push on this season and qualify for Europe or win a cup – or even both.
They have started to show a bit more resilience after that wee dip but they've had a great week; two or three really good results over the past ten days or so and they’ll be feeling good about themselves.
There's a long way to go but from what I've seen Hibs don't need to fear anyone in the league. Maybe Rangers, and I think Celtic will come back stronger, but in terms of Aberdeen and any teams below them, I don't see any reason for Hibs to fear them.

Hide AdBecause it’s not the greatest of leagues this year it gives Hibs a real chance to do something this season and a lot of credit has to go to the manager and to the players.
They’ve found a way to win at difficult venues and while there is still a long way to go there’s nothing to be afraid of from the other teams.
Teamwork makes the dream work
I’ve been impressed by Hibs so far this season – it’s been a collective effort rather than one or two standing out.
There are individuals who have done well – Joe Newell has been impressive so far, Martin Boyle is always a threat, and it's hard to ignore Kevin Nisbet's goals and performances in his firt season at this level.

I think there are still a few who are still to really hit top gear. I liked the looked of Drey Wright when I first saw him but he's starting to show that he has something about him.
So long as the players don't get carried away – we’re only halfway through the season, and there's a long way to go.
Every game is going to get bigger and bigger and a lot depends on how Hibs cope with that. If they can go on a five or six-game winning run then I don’t see them having any problems reaching Europe.

The players should be confident now at pitting their wits against anyone else in the league.
