It shows how far Hibs have come that Neil Lennon came out and said it was the best Celtic have played all season on Sunday.

There were certainly positives in the game for us and we had chances early on, but as the game grew you could see they were getting into their stride and they took their chances.

We seemed to get the backlash of one or two disappointing performances because that's the best I've seen Celtic play in a long time.

They certainly stepped up their game and I think that's because they knew they were going to be in a game against Hibs. They were the better team on the day and sometimes you've just got to take that and move on.

It's now important that we bounce back against Hamilton but, with a week to go until the transfer deadline, I'd also like to see us strengthen the squad.

I think we need to sign a player in each department if I'm honest. A striker, because if we lose Kevin Nisbet or Christian Doidge we're struggling for players up front, a central midfield player, and reinforcements at the back.

Certainly, for me, right through the centre of the team we need a wee bit more to help us for the long season ahead because you can't keep going with the same players week in, week out. Eventually the team will have to be changed.

I've always believed we need more coming from midfield to score goals because we're relying too much on strikers and wide players. We need goals from all areas and we need someone who can get forward from the middle of the pitch and nick us goals.

I personally think we need something more up front, a different type of player because if we lose Doidge and Nisbet we've not got great cover.

In the centre-back area Ryan Porteous has done well but eventually it will take its toll. It's a hard season for young players.

We look decent in the wide areas but it worries me about the squad because if we lose a couple of our best players the season can change very quickly.

We need more depth. What's not helping is the situation with Covid just now and the financial constraints. It's not easy, but I'm sure it's something the manager will be looking at. He's already tried in the past and missed out on a few but he'll hopefully just keep chipping away.

More important though is to get a win against Hamilton. This can be one of the dangerous games when you think you’re doing well.

Brian Rice has brought a different mentality to Hamilton, they're not a team that will sit in and they've got players that can hurt you.

If we can get a result we’ll be back on the rails again, but I'm thinking this could be a difficult game for Hibs if they don’t go about it in the right manner.
