Motherwell 0-3 Hibs: Boyle, Doidge, and Stephen McGinn on target in fine away win
Much of the pre-match discussion was taken up with the Steelmen picking up six points without kicking a ball after being awarded 3-0 wins in cancelled matches against St Mirren and Kilmarnock. The Buddies and the Rugby Park side were hammered for breaching Covid19 protocols and the resultant victories awarded to Stephen Robinson’s side catapulted them up the table to five points behind Hibs.
After a first half in which Motherwell had been stronger, Hibs came out all guns blazing in the second. Martin Boyle notched the opener on the hour mark with a fine effort, with Christian Doidge making the points safe and Stephen McGinn putting the gloss on the scoreline late on.
