Hibs are on the hunt for a new manager after David Gray was sacked from his position on Wednesday.
The 38-year old was relieved of his duties after a sixth consecutive home defeat against 12th placed Kilmarnock in the Premiership. In turn, Gray became the first top flight managerial casualty of the season, as Sporting Director Malky MacKay and Executive Chairman Ian Gordon now search for his successor.
The Easter Road board are now aiming to appoint a new gaffer before the end of the extended international break, which runs from September 21 to October 6. With no prime candidate to replace Gray settled upon amid his dismissal, the club’s hierarchy will now assess their options.
