Dillon Barnes has been recalled by parent club QPR which could lead to a situation where goalkeeping coach Craig Samson could have to fill the role between the sticks.

Ofir Marciano was due to face Livingston on Saturday but pulled out in the warm-up due to injury.

Hibs could look for a short-term solution which could involve dipping into the free agent market. With that in mind we look at someone of those available:

Conrad Logan - Free agent

The Scottish Cup-winning legend has already thrown his hat into the ring, tweeting the club that he’ll get his gloves and boots “dusted off”.

The 34-year-old has played for Rochdale, Mansfield Town and Forest Green Rovers since departing Easter Road. Appeared 30 times for the latter two sides last campaign. However, it is nearly 11 months since he last turned out in a competitive match.

Orjan Nyland - Free agent

The Norwegian international was signed by Aston Villa in 2018 but left in October. Played seven times in the Premier League last season and featured in the EFL Cup at the start of the campaign but agreed to depart by mutual consent before the transfer window closed.

Nyland, who has experience of the top flights in Germany and Norway, had an operation in January regarding a troubled back.

One of his 28 Norway caps came against Scotland.

Rob Elliot - Free agent

The four-cap Ireland international has been without a club since leaving Newcastle United in the summer. Has played at all four levels of English football, including 110 games for Charlton Athletic.

Was a popular figure at Newcastle but didn’t feature in his final two seasons. Trained with Gateshead in October. Calls himself a “frustrated striker" in his Twitter bio.

Fabrice Ondoa - Free agent

The Cameroonian international is available after being sacked by Belgian club KV Oostende last month for organising a party which violated lockdown measures. The 25-year-old has had an interesting career, joining Barcelona from Samuel Eto'o Academy. Has played nearly as many international games as games at club level.

Danijel Subasic - Free agent

Departed Monaco in the summer after more than eight-and-a-half years and nearly 300 games. An experienced goalkeeper, the 36-year-old was a former Croatia No.1, playing at Euro 2016 and the 2018 World Cup.

Subasic has barely played since the 2018/19 season but would bring a huge presence to the club.

Jonathan Klinsmann - Free agent

The son of German legend Jurgen, the 23-year-old departed LA Galaxy at the end of the MLS season after the Los Angeles-based side opted against taking up a contract option on the player. Some Galaxy fans thought he was an upgrade on David Bingham but he shipped 11 goals in his four appearances for the club.

Klinsmann, previously linked with Rangers, was with Hertha Berlin before making the switch to Swiss side St Gallen before his move to MLS.
