Hibs are heading for Europe this summer after qualifying for the Conference League’s second round qualifiers.
David Gray’s side finished fifth in the Premiership and Celtic winning the Scottish Cup has unlocked a route back to the continent. Last summer, Hibs competed against Midtjylland, Partizan Belgrade and Legia Warsaw as they fell just short of the league phase of the Conference, and are set to be a seeded side when they enter the tournament again due to their coefficient ranking. That, in theory, should mean an easier route to the third round stage but that isn’t always the case.
Every side is yet to be locked in but Football Meets Data has revealed a list of every side currently on the unseeded side of the draw as things stand. This round of qualifiers is also likely to be subject to regionalising, like last year, when the second round of Europa League qualifying brought Hibs into a group with sides from Denmark, Belgium, Ukraine, Moldova, Kosovo and Finland for the draw. Countries closer to home are ones to keep a particular eye on but this gives a gauge to the strength of club Hibs are likely to meet upon entering Europe in July. Here’s the full 42-team list.
