Premier Sports' bizarre Hibs line-up featuring Gullan at CB and Newell at RB

Premier Sports left fans scratching their head with how they set up the Hibs starting XI to face Alloa Athletic in the Betfred Cup.

The Hibees are currently facing the Wasps at the Indordrill for a place in the last four of the League Cup.

However, Jack Ross’ team are not lining up as the Betfred Cup broadcaster predicted.

If Hibs were to play the way Premier Sports suggested it would be taking experiment to another level.

While, Ofir Marciano was rightly placed between the sticks, the back four was, from right to left, Joe Newell, Jamie Gullan, Paul McGinn and Drey Wright. The midfield three: Christian Doidge, Paul Hanlon and Martin Boyle. Ryan Porteous and Lewis Stevenson were placed left and right of striker Melker Hallberg respectively.

Steven Bradley was also missed from the substitutes bench.

Meanwhile, Hibs confirmed Kevin Nisbet missed the game due to a slight muscle injury.
