Ross County boss Stuart Kettlewell has played down speculation linking Ross Stewart with a move to Hibs.

According to reports earlier in the week, the Easter Road side had reignited their interest from January in the forward.

The 23-year-old, who has one year on his deal remaining, impressed this past campaign hitting 11 goals in 26 games, despite playing wide at times.

Kettlewell, who has taken sole charge of the Staggies, confirmed there had been no “concrete offer” for the player with the club reportedly looking for six figures.

"Speaking to him yesterday he’s 100 per cent here at the football club,” he told Sky Sports. "There is a bit of speculation, there is no concrete offer for Ross.

"We’re delighted to say that we’ve been a part of facilitating his development over the last couple of years.

"Ross feels he’s got a good fit here at Ross County, and if someone wants to go ahead and take Ross Stewart then I think it would have to be a pretty good offer to convince both him and us."

With a transfer stance in place which won’t see any new players arrive until wage deferrals are lifted, there won’t be any recruits in the door at Easter Road soon.

It hasn’t stopped Jack Ross being lifted with a host of players, including Drey Wright, Kevin Nisbet, Alex Gogic and Accrington Stanley winger Jordan Clark.
