The Romanian playmaker converted from close range after Kemar Roofe’s cross, getting in front of Paul Hanlon to slam the ball past Dillon Barnes from close range.

Hibs had a couple of penalty shouts turned down in the second half while Melker Hallberg saw a fine effort late on saved well by Allan McGregor.
