Joe Newell, Ryan Porteous, and Ofir Marciano celebrate at full time

After an entertaining but goalless first half, Billy Mckay tapped home from close range after Jordan White’s knockdown.

But Hibs went straight up the other end of the park and won a penalty when Boyle was felled in the box. The same player stepped up and fired the ball past Ross Laidlaw to level the scores, and just minutes later they took the lead when substitute Nisbet slammed home from inside the six-yard area after a period of sustained pressure from the Easter Road side.

White later hit the post for the hosts and Ofir Marciano denied Keith Watson and White again as Hibs held on.

The win takes Hibs six points clear of Aberdeen in the race for third place and ends a run of two defeats ahead of next weekend's trip to face Livingston, who secured a top-six spot with victory over Hamilton.

Welcome to our live blog as Hibs look to take three points from Dingwall for the first time since 2017. We’ll have all the action and updates from Victoria Park starting with team news around 1.45pm.

Just the one change to the starting team from last weekend as Kevin Nisbet drops to the bench with Christian Doidge taking his place.

Marciano; P McGinn, Porteous, Hanlon; Cadden, Newell, Gogic, Irvine, Doig; Boyle, Doidge.

Subs: Macey, Gray, Stevenson, McGregor, Hallberg, Allan, Wright, Magennis, Nisbet.

No Murphy among the substitutes but Kyle Magennis return to the matchday squad. Swapping Doidge for Nisbet suggests we won’t see a repeat of the fluid 4-3-3 that the team seemed to play in the opening exchanges against St Johnstone last week - it looks far more likely to be a straight 3-5-2 with Doidge and Boyle up top. Could potentially go to a 3-4-1-2 in attack with Irvine or Newell pushing forward to support the strikers.

Five minutes until kick-off, Hibs wearing their all-yellow change kit this afternoon; Ross County in their navy, white, and red home colours.

Hibs shooting from right to left in this first half - a change from the last visit to Dingwall.

Hibs forcing an early corner. We’ve seen them struggle in games where they fail to take the lead so good to see plenty of attacking intent early doors. Doidge gets his head to the corner and Laidlaw saves, but the whistle has gone for a foul.

Boyle catches Hjelde unaware from a pass back, he rounds the ‘keeper and knocks it back to Cadden but the wingback balloons his effort well over the bar. A good chance for Hibs to get in front there. Cadden won’t fancy seeing that back...

Gogic picks up an early booking for a foul on Lakin, and that seems harsh from the whistler. Fewer than ten minutes on the clock, will be interesting to see if he remains consistent with the cards!

Great ball across the box from Doig but no takers

Marciano comes out to claim a high ball from a County free kick

Doig with a curling effort from the left but it drops down just behind the goal. The youngster had a few chances last weekend against St Johnstone and it’s good to see him continuing to get forward.

Another attempt by Hibs to beat County’s offside trap but Boyle goes a fraction early and despite finishing past Laidlaw the flag is up. County are playing a really high line and Irvine did well to spot Boyle’s run. If Hibs can work that move out it could prove fruitful.
