The Easter Road goalkeeper started for his country in their Uefa Nations League group clash with Czech Republic.

However, it was a first half to forget for Marciano after he allowed a simple pass back from Joel Abu Hanna to roll under his foot and into the net at the Sammy Ofer Stadium in Haifa.

After opening his body he tried in vain to rescue the situation but was too close to the line.

It’s not been an especially happy time for the 31-year-old in his past two outings.

Marciano faced Scotland in the Euro 2020 play-off semi final during the week and saw John McGinn’s penalty squirm under him in the shootout, which the Scots won.

The keeper has been in excellent form for Jack Ross’ Hibs, making a number of big saves and proving himself to be one of the best goalies in the country currently.
