'We caused Hibs all kinds of problems' - What John Hughes had to say after Ross County's Easter Road victory
The Staggies jumped off the bottom of the Premiership with a 2-0 win at Easter Road with goals from ex-Hearts youngster Harry Paton and former Hibee Oli Shaw.
It was the first league win in 13 outings.
Hughes took over from Stuart Kettlewell earlier this month. His first game in charge was a defeat at Celtic before St Mirren won at Dingwall at the weekend, not helped with County getting two men sent off with the score 0-0.

BBCSportScot/status/1344390030706548739">Hughes told the BBC: “You need to get on the ball and pass it, you need to let the other team think about what you’re doing. In the first half, I felt Hibs were the better team in the first ten minutes. After that we came right into the game, really passed it and took the game to them. It was even stevens but we got our reward, got the goal. Second half, we knew Hibs would come at it. The shape was solid, we were not going to get broken down, defended with our lives.
“The thing that pleases me most is that we got a clean sheet. You get a clean sheet, you don’t lose the game.
“The standards I’m trying to set at the club I can’t ask any more of the boys. Honest, honest, hard-working bunch of boys that are just suffering. Hopefully this will give us a kick start to give us a bit of belief and confidence.

We're not going to kick the ball back to Hibs and let them keep coming at us. You have to keep it, you have to be brave, you have to make angles, you need to look after it and I felt we did that in the first half.”
