Former Hibs youngster Antell missed a large chunk of last season due to injury, but the Welshman is expected to be the club’s No.1 when football eventually resumes for City after the coronavirus lockdown.

Antell said: “I’m delighted to extend my contract with Edinburgh City for another year, which takes me into my fifth season with the club.

“To play in the club’s first-ever game in the football league at Meadowbank against Forfar four years ago to now challenging for the league year in year out just shows how far the club has grown over the years, which is a credit to everyone associated with the club.

“Hopefully when the season starts back up we can all pull together and go one step further and take the club to the next level.”
