Is this Scotland's starting XI for World Cup qualifier against Austria?

Our prediction for the Scotland starting XI against Austria this coming Thursday

Steve Clarke and his men begin their bid to reach the 2022 World Cup in Qatar this coming Thursday as Austria are the visitors to Hampden Park.

Immediately followed by an away trip to Israel and a home encounter with the Faroe Islands, the national team will be hoping for a maximum nine points from the three contests as they aim to get their qualification campaign off to a flyer.

It will be a tricky opening contest for the hosts, especially after it was learned earlier this week that Austria will be able to bring the majority of their German-based players due to the country taking the United Kingdom off their quarantine list.

There is plenty to ponder for Clarke, who will take charge of his first match in four months. A few new faces have come into the squad since then, but will any of them make the starting XI?
