Henderson spoke to Edinburgh City TV and said “I’m happy to resign glad to get it sorted. I’m looking forward to get back into the swing of things. Hoping to have another successful season pushing more for that title.”

Manager James McDonaugh added: “Liam overcame a tough start to last season but hit a real purple patch which rightly earned him SPFL recognition. Being voted Player of the Year was also confirmation that he’s a young player with great potential so it’s positive to have him secured for the new season.”
