Broxburn created chances aplenty in the first half but found themselves 1-0 down at the break to a Scott Small strike on 20 minutes. Broxburn got on level terms with a solo Kieron Anderson goal two minutes after the break. Anderson got his second from the spot after a handball on 70 minutes. Craig Purves then got his head to a ball at the back post to score high into the net. The fourth Penicuik goal came when Alexander Miller met an Anderson cross to fire home. Goal of the game came from the captain Nicholas Locke, who juggled the ball past four defenders to score by way of the back post.
